Welcome to the Christ Community Church.
Our church is a group of people who are "connecting to Jesus and to each other for strengthening and serving our community". You'll find under the ministries tab several ways to join this mission and a calendar under the events tab that will help you choose when and where to join us. We gather together to be equipped for a week of living out the love and justice of our great God.
Peace to you, Pastor Scott Dement |

Scott and Gail Dooley were a part of Christ Community Church during college. Now, they are global missionaries for the Church of the Nazarene in Papua New Guinea.
Scott graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 1995 with a B.A. in biology. He received his M.D. in 1999 from the University Of Kansas School Of Medicine. He completed his Family Practice Residency in 2002. Gail graduated from MidAmerica Nazarene University in 1995 with a B.S. degree in nursing. She then worked in Medical/Surgical Ward, ICU, and then labor and delivery.
Kudjip Nazarene Hospital is where the Dooley's work, live and minister. Kudjip is a 100 bed hospital that each year sees over 50,000 patients in outpatient clinic and over 4,000 in-patients. Scott works alongside six other missionary doctors and a fully national staff of nurses. Scott also leads the HIV work at the hospital and serves on the National HIV Ministry Committee for the church, where he has written and edited HIV training materials. Gail has helped out teaching nursing students in the operating room, helped as a scrub nurse, and assisted with the medical storeroom supplies. She also has spoken to many women's groups and schools. Now she spends most of her time home schooling Emma and caring for Olivia. Allison attends the missionary kid school on the station. The entire family goes out to encourage many local churches.
The Dooley's vision is to support the ongoing compassionate ministry and evangelism occurring through the work of the Nazarene Hospital in Papua New Guinea. |
