Safety, Security, and Volunteers:

Here at Christ Community, we value our children and their families and we strive to keep them safe.  We have yearly prevention and classroom management trainings.  We desire to equip and empower our volunteers to tell children about Jesus and to lead children in their faith.  All of our volunteers have gone through a background check on both the national and local level.  If you have been attending Christ Community for three months or more and you would like to join our Children's Ministry team, please contact Pastor Calcy and following the link provided for a background check:

Nursery and Preschool

We provide nursery care for babies who are not yet walking. Once a child is walking well, he/she is able to attend our toddler Sunday School. These programs are available during both Worship Service and Discipleship hour on Sunday morning.

We want to provide an environment that will stimulate the physical, mental, and spiritual development of babies and toddlers. The Infant & Crawlers class includes rocking, singing, and an interactive playtime. The Toddler Sunday School class includes coloring, story-time, snacks, and an interactive playtime.

Preschool Praise is an interactive age-appropriate worship service for preschoolers. Children engage in learning and knowing the Bible through uplifting music, Bible-based stories, games, arts, crafts, and puppets. Children are involved in small groups designed to help them build a kid-sized community with friends their own age. Preschool Praise is held during the Sunday morning worship service at 9:30 a.m. for 2-5 year olds.

Preschool Sunday School is a time of whole group activities which includes Bible stories, music, crafts, activity centers, Scripture, and a snack. Preschool Sunday School is held during the discipleship hour beginning at 11:00 a.m. for 2-5 year olds.

Preschool Praise & Play

Preschool Praise & Play is designed for Pre-Kindergarten children (ages 4 and 5). Each year we focus on a different hero in the Bible. We meet on Wednesday evenings from 6:30-7:30 p.m. during the school year.
